Application process:
Applications go out in January. Applications are reviewed by international programs coordinator and screened by evaluation and promotion committee member for good academic and professional standing. Student executive board has input in the selection of student peers.
Program elements:
Student run global health interest group identifies international programs opportunity, student interest in said opportunity, and identifies dates of opportunity based on summer break. Students get input from faculty advisor for global health interest group, and international programs coordinator helps students coordinate, organize and support international programs. Support provided by Office of Student Affairs, and pre-trip preparations provided by Office of Study Abroad to ensure university policies and procedures are followed and all available resources are provided to the students.

Students fundraise privately. GoFundMe has been a successful with students.
